Vivienne Westwood's personal wardrobe
Christie's will auction off Vivienne Westwood's personal wardrobe. Vivienne Westwood's husband and creative director of her brand, Andreas Kronthaler, has prepared special looks from her wardrobe that will be presented at two auctions. More than 200 lots will go under the hammer, covering four decades of Westwood’s work, writes Hypebeast. Note that the earliest example presented at auctions belongs to the designer’s collection FW1983/84. In addition, the auctions will benefit a number of charities, including The Vivienne Foundation, Amnesty International and Médecins Sans Frontières. “Vivienne Westwood's sense of activism, art and style is embedded in every piece she creates. Christie's pre-sale exhibition and auction will showcase her extraordinary vision through a selection of images that commemorate important moments not only in her career, but also in her personal life,” said Christie's Head of Sales and Director of Private and Iconic Collections Adrian Hume Sayer. “This will be a unique opportunity for audiences to experience both the public and private worlds of Grand Dame Vivienne Westwood and raise funds for the causes in which she believed so passionately.” Christie's will host a free public exhibition of the collection at Christie's London headquarters from June 14 to 24.

Vacheron Constantin
Vacheron Constantin presented the world's first “perfume” watch. The Égérie – The Pleats of Time concept watch from Vacheron Constantin, presented at Watches And Wonders 2024, gives a fragrant dimension to the passage of time. This became possible thanks to the collaboration of the Swiss watch company, the Parisian couturier Yiqing Yin and the famous perfumer Dominique Ropion, the author of such popular fragrances as Lady Million from Paco Rabanne, Vogue reports. The 37 mm rose gold watch enchants with its feminine sophistication and a dazzling array of diamonds on the bezel, as well as a lilac mother-of-pearl dial that highlights the phases of the moon. In addition to attractive aesthetics, the watch attracts attention with a special aroma that penetrates into the strap itself. Ropion has created an original fragrance that randomly interacts with the wearer upon contact with the skin or during movement. The fragrance opens with notes of lavender and orange blossom, followed by tuberose and ylang-ylang. The watch with a mother-of-pearl dial is complemented by an original Haute Couture strap, decorated with exquisite embroidery and mother-of-pearl shards. This is the world's first perfume watch. The collection includes two watches: one with a fragrance, and the second an exclusive limited edition of 100 pieces with the name Yiqing Yin engraved on the caseback. The set also includes three interchangeable straps in colors developed by the Haute Couture designer.

Leopard print
Leopard print is back: Fashionistas from Rihanna to Kendall Jenner challenge 'quiet luxury' Who else but Rihanna can challenge the "quiet luxury" fashion trend? This past weekend, the singer wore head-to-toe leopard print to her friend Melissa Ford's birthday party at the trendy West Hollywood restaurant The Nice Guy, pairing a mini bustier dress with a floor-length Dolce & Gabbana fur-trimmed coat and a clutch from Louis Vuitton. The Dolce coat is one of a collection of leopard print coats in Rihanna's wardrobe, as Bottega Venetta introduced a faux fur version earlier this year. And Rihanna is not the only one: Sofia Ritchie Grange, Kendall Jenner and Dua Lipa are also fans of leopard print, writes Harpers Bazaar. Over the past two seasons, designers have also rediscovered their love for leopard print. In this regard, Dolce & Gabbana can be considered the king of the jungle since the first autumn-winter 91 collection. The fashion house's spring-summer 24 collection features leopard print for any weather, from a mac with a matching hood to a chiffon dress with a thigh-high slit. Meanwhile, Jacquemus paid homage to the screen sirens of the 1940s with a buttoned-up belt and powerful shoulders, while Hedi Slimane opted for a nineties-inspired look with models in minis and Celine jackets. At the Dior fall-winter show, 24 models wore leopard-print twin sets, knitted skirts and coats. And while some attribute the comeback of leopard print to the Mob Wife aesthetic, its history is actually much more complex. Indeed, in many ways, no print has ever evoked such contradictory associations: can you imagine anything else that is both a status symbol for the rich and synonymous with the tacky and cheap?
